Swagbucks now has coupons!

Search & Win

I am more excited than I should be over an email I received today. Swagbucks is now offering printable coupons! They seem to be the same coupons offered on coupons.com and other sites, but you get rewarded for using them. Each coupon you redeem will earn you 10 swagbucks!

If you aren't familiar with Swagbucks, from their website "Swagbucks.com is the web's premier rewards site. Powered by Prodege LLC, Swagbucks.com allows web users to earn virtual currency by doing the things they do every day - search the web, shopping at their favorite retailers, and by engaging in other activities such as phone recycling, submitting polls, and completing special offers. Swagbucks.com is the only place on the web to get what you want without ever having to spend a dime."

It's completely free, and you earn rewards by doing little things like searching the internet (winning points is random, you never know what searches will win points, or how many you'll get), and watching videos. Many users use Swagbucks.com as their homepage and do all searches from the site. I recently saw that I could earn up to a couple hundred swagbucks by recycling my phone. I'm due for an upgrade in a few months, you can guess where my phone is going!

And today (and every Friday) is Mega Swag Bucks day, which means you are more likely to win higher points for you searches. I'm saving my points for an Amazon.com giftcard, but there are a lot more prizes that are less "costly."

I am so beyond excited that I can now earn swagbucks from couponing!!!

Egg coupon at Smartsource

I was browsing Smartsource.com and noticed a very cool coupon. $0.55 off any 2 one-dozen cartons of eggs. When eggs go one sale at Kroger, this is going to make them super cheap.

Kroger today

Today  got all of this for $13.86:

I'm going to donate the deodorant, toothbrush and toothpaste.

I had a $5/$50 purchase coupon I used first, and also a free Kandoo Wipes coupon. Everything else is listed in my matchups here.

It's a good idea to make sure your info is all correct for your Kroger card so that you can get all of the great coupons the company sends out. This month I received the Kroger my magazine, which included coupons relevant to cooking for the holidays. I also received in a separate mailing, coupons for products tailored to what I often buy. Those mailers usually include dollar off total purchase coupons, also dollar off certain departments (meat, frozen, etc.) I love when I get these coupons!

New $2 Meijer Mperks coupon

If you're already an Mperks member, I'm sure you got the text, but if not, now is a good time to sign up. Right now there a $2.00 off any $2.00 purchase coupon available. Mperks is a Meijer digital coupon program. You need a cell phone that is text message capable to register, and then once you're at the store, you'll need to enter your phone number at checkout. Overall, I still like the Meijer Mealbox coupons better, but I love these dollar off purchase coupons that pop up once in a while.

Barilla Plus Pasta coupon

Vocalpoint is offering coupons for $1 off any package of Barilla pasta. This coupon should be able to get you free pasta. Log in or register here to print the coupon (remember to print 2x!) This new pasta from Barilla has fiber, omega-3's and protein, so it's a nice healthier version of a great brand of pasta.

Are you a member of Vocalpoint yet? You should be. You will get coupons and free samples, and all you're expected in return is to share your opinion. I believe they do track if you visit the site, post reviews, etc, so if you're active, you're more likely to get samples. I received a coupon for free sample of this pasta, plus coupons to share. Their samples usually come in cute packaging with the coupons to share. I love getting them in the mail. So does my daughter, she usually plays with the cool packaging!

Send Santa to the Troops

There are several local drop off points and special events to donate to the troops. The items collected will go to local troops deployed in Afghanistan and Kuwait. Please try to pick up something extra or dig into your stockpile to donate. You can find find a list of the needed supplies, drop off point and events here. Check out Saving Addiction for the great deals at the drugstores; they have links on the side so you can go straight to the deals at Rite Aid or Walgreens. I love that they set up their matchups for the drugstores with free items first, then under $1, then other great deals. You may not need some of these free or cheap items, but our troops do! One of the Kroger deals I have listed that you may want to consider is the $0.50 Advil! Or free Colgate toothpaste. Or an $0.18 toothbrush.

Please donate what you can! Some of the simple things we take for granted are things that make life easier for our troops.

Also, if you know a deployed soldier, if you have their info (name, rank, mailing info) you can request that they have a package sent to them.

The site does mention that they have plenty of toothpaste and toothbrushes. I can attest to the fact that my husband returned from Iraq with several toothbrushes. That's not true. I contacted the coordinator and that message was from last year. This year they are short on toothbrushes and toothpaste. Luckily, there are always ways to score free oral care products. I'm excited to dig into my stockpile and give to the soldiers that are fighting for us. I hope you are too!

You should also consider donating to other local places such as Hospital Hospitality Houses, The Underground Railroad, or consider contacting The United Way for other donation or volunteer opportunities. I'll be posting more about other giving opportunities in the future.

Free VeggieTales Music Download

Right now Amazon is offering up a free download of the VeggieTales album "The Incredible Singing Christmas Tree." The album has 16 tracks, and is totally free. It has good reviews on Amazon, so I'm sure it's worth your time if you've got little ones running around.

Thanks, Smart Couponing!

BOGO at GAP Outlet today only

Late notice, but if you're headed to Birch Run today, use this Buy one get one free coupon valid only at Gap outlets!

Thanks, Saving Addiction!

Are you planning on buying Toy Story 3?

Toy Story 3 will be released this Tuesday, November 2. Go to Disney Movie Rewards to print a coupon for $8 off the Blu-ray Combo pack (DVD and Blu-ray). If you're not a member yet, you'll have to sign up to print the coupon. As a new member you can get 25 bonus points for entering the code REX.

I'm still trying to figure out the best store in the area to buy this, looks like the Disney Store would be great, but we don't have that anymore :( I'll update when I find the best deal.

Finally, if you are not familiar with Disney Movie Rewards, it is a free program that rewards you for buying Disney movies and also seeing them at the theater. I resisted signing up for a while, but once I did I started going through all of my old Disney DVDs and finding the codes (some were lost, but oh well.) I racked up quite a few points already. There are a couple of things I could get for free right now, but I'm kinda waiting to see if anything new comes out that I'd really like.

Coupons in the Sunday Newspaper

Check out the Sunday Coupon Preview for what coupons to expect in tomorrow's paper. There will be 3 inserts: RedPlum, SmartSource and P&G. Keep in mind that coupons may vary by region.

My email from P&G Everyday Solutions read that the P&G insert this weekend will have over $113 in savings!

BTW, if you haven't signed up to be a member of P&G Everyday solutions yet, sign up here and request the ton of free samples and coupons they're offering up. As a member, you can request samples once a quarter. I just got my last set yesterday and it's a great one. Free samples from Tampax, Always, Covergirl, and coupons for Febreeze and Tide products! Right now there are a Crest sample and over 15 coupons to request!

Meijer this week

Today is the last day to catch a couple of sales at Meijer. There are a ton of items 10 for $10, get the 11th item free (Green Giant frozen veggies, Aunt Millie's bread, Betty Crocker Frosting, 2 liters of pop, Pillsbury Grands, Dole canned Fruit, etc). I went last night planning on spending less than $30 and I ended up spending over $80!  But I picked up a lot of things I needed.

One item in this sale you may want to catch is Campbell's Select Harvest soup. It's part of the 10/$10, and you can use (2) $1/2 at coupons.com AND $1/4 from Meijer Mealbox to score 4 cans for just $0.25 each!

Also Better Crocker Frosting has a CAT running. Buy 2, get $1 OYNO, buy 3 get $2 OYNO, buy 4+ get $3 OYNO. So if you buy 4 ($4 total) you get back $3, so each one is really only costing you $0.25!

The Pillsbury CAT is still running. You can buy 5 Grands Biscuits, use (2) $0.30/2 (double to $0.60) and get back a $3 CAT. Super cheap!

Part of why I spent so much was because I was browsing clearance items. Here is my daughter with something she convinced me to buy.

It's a Toy Story sidewalk Chalk set, normally $14.99, down to $4.50. It's very cute, 21 pieces of chalk, 3 stencils (Woody, Buzz, Woody's horse) and 3D glasses. The chalk really does have a 3D effect. It was a nice way for us to spend part of this lovely fall day.

There were a lot of these, and tons of lunch bags. I'm sure the bags will go down lower as the year progresses.

Even though I spent way more than I had planned, I got a ton of stuff.

Thanks to Saving Addiction for the heads up on some of these deals.

Toys "R" Us Events tomorrow (10/16)

I just called to confirm that Toys "R" Us in Saginaw is having two free events for children.

First from 12-2, there is a Chuggington Event. During the event, preschoolers can see and play with Chuggington toys, which are available for the first time in the United States, interact with other Chuggington fans, enjoy story time, coloring and complimentary gifts, while supplies last.

Then from 2-4 there is the Disney Princess and Me Royal event. Activities will include a decorate-your-own Princess & Me tiara, story time, and more.

Of course these events are to draw people in to buy the related toys, but if your children (and you) can resist, it's a fun *free* thing to do in town.

Thanks to Hip2Save for the heads up

My Kroger trip tonight

Since I'm back into town, and kinda into the swing of things, I made it out to Kroger tonight. As I suspected, several of the items that were on sale last week are still on sale, just not it the ad, though  didn't catch them all. Go here for the coupon matchups. These are definitely still on sale:

Stayfree and Carefree Products, $2.50

Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers, $1.49

Butterball Turkey Bacon, $2.50

**********************************************************

I bought 8 packages of Idahoan potatoes ($2 total) and received (2) $1 ONYO CATS. Every 4 pouches are generating a $1 CAT. Sweet! These are great to have on hand when you need a quick and easy side...

Have you heard of One Kings Lane?

One Kings Lane is a members-only online shop that offers sales for 72 hour stretches. Sign up here and you'll receive a $15 credit to your account, which can also be applied to shipping. Once you sign up you can choose to refer other members, and each referral will get you more credit!

I've checked out the site occasionally, and although a lot of the stuff is pretty pricey, you can find some decent deals. Right now you can order 10 birthday cards from Tiny Prints, plus a gift code for 5 free personalized cards from their website for $15. With your credit you'd pay only the $7.95 for shipping, not a bad price! Zak Designs also has a few items priced around $15, so once again you'd only pay for shipping. Or you can hold onto your credit til something cheap comes around and you can score something for free!
